My Community Issue

Hey Guys!

My name is Daniel and I have a community issue in regards to bullying. Bullying is a nationwide struggle and effects many people each day. Bullying is a strong term that could be broken down into 2 separate categories. One category is bullying in the real world and the other category is cyber bullying. Although there are many actions into trying to stop bullying, it does not sustain it. It seems as though there is more of an increase in bullying then a decrease in it.

My mom has an issue on the inflation of gas prices. She thinks it is annoying to watch gas prices  decrease a little and then rise up the next day. Gas prices lately have been rising and falling. It looks like the gas price has gone over $4 in some cities and slowly rising. Even though our gas prices are below $4, they can either rise slowly or fall slowly in a span of a day. If only gas prices were like they used to be a couple of years ago.

  1. I agree danielson. If only the gas prices weren't so high our community would have much more money. That money could be used for a fix up our buildings and make round lake a community. Touching on what you said the family could use the money they save to spend time with there children. Then the children could express their problems to their family and this bullying problem. Can you expand on this anymore.

  2. Hey Daniel!
I definitely agree with you and your mom. Bullying seems to never end which is ironic since there are people who are actually working and encouraging to stop it and help those who unfortunately are being bullied.
For instance, we get presentations at schools (in our case during our gym class) ,but we still see it...in the school! This is really frustrating, and is more frustrating to see how people do little and do not stand up for those who are being bullied.- Like you said bullying seems to be increasing instead of decreasing. At the end these people have low self-esteem and sometimes even take their lives!

As with gas prices, the rising costs of them are hurting the people in the community. Most are having trouble with their jobs, feeding their families, and maintaining their home. Increasing the gas prices only makes it more complicated.

  3. I understand your concern with bullying and cyber bullying specifically because ever since knowledge in technology has risen, so has the cruelty. The sad part is that with cyber bullying, the bully is less likely to become responsible for his/her actions. One way to help with this terrible problem is to really show just how much it will affect the victim. A way to do that is to personalize the situation-to have people that are known to bully, meet people that are victims unknowingly so they could share their stories and make the bully think twice the next time they post something harsh on Facebook.

  4. I agree that bullying seems to be only getting worse, but perhaps that's only because bullying is getting more awareness. People are no longer shy to speak on this subject so naturally you will hear more bullying cases. I think with time bullying will gradually decrease.
