Community issues thesis
I believe that doing something about immigration is the most important challenge facing not just my community but the U.S. as a whole. Not giving immigrants a chance is a significant challenge because those immigrants come here for a better life, so if they chose this country the country should give some support to them. Other citizens treat immigrants like they are nothing because immigrants could easily get deported so they don't have a stable life here and also immigrants take the worst jobs just to get some money in their pockets. To solve this challenge, I propose that we stand up for immigrants, after all they are people, and give them a chance to be part of this country. If they were smart enough to get through the police guarding the border they could be smart enough to make some beneficial changes in this country.

I believe that parent involvement in our schools is the most important challenge facing my community. Parent involvement is a significant challenge because there is a lack of communication between the students and their parents and the school and the parents. Parents don't want to miss a day of their work to be with their children and make this a more better place. To solve this challenge, I propose the letters and news students get informed at school, should be mailed home or since most people have a mobile device they should get a text to their phones or an email so they can view it any time. The school should alert and encourage parents to attend the event like one month before so they can make room in their schedule.
